Summer Reading at East Side: If you don't have a smartphone/tablet

You can read on your computer!

Many sites have a pretty good reader on a computer! Here are some great options--click on the link and it'll take you to the instructions page:

The East Side Library ebooks

Sora (get the password from Andrea)

The public libraries

Kindle (not my favorite, but not bad)

Getting a Public Library Card with a Computer

Brooklyn Public Library is offering an online library card you can access with a computer.

Queens Public Library is also offering an online library card you can access with a computer.

You can't apply for a new NYPL library card using just a computer.  You will need to borrow a phone or tablet to get a library card number.  You can copy down your library card number and use it on a computer. You can also contact Andrea to help you get a card.
