Dear East Side Families,
As you may know, DOE funding for East Side programs is down $86,000 from last year. The school has been able to make up most of that difference through a combination of grant applications and scaling back where possible--but we’re not out of the woods yet. We need more money to close the funding gap completely.
At this time, Principal Mark Federman has asked the Parent Association for $10,000 to help fund the following programs this year:
- Theater class (serves 50-60 students)
- Stoked Skateboarding and Sports Marketing (serves 65 students)
- Peer Tutoring (serves 100 students)
- Dance Class (serves 125 students)
- Chess in Schools (serves 50 students)
Won’t you please help us secure funding for these programs?
If every East Side family gave $20, we would be done with this fundraiser. But, regardless of whether you can give $2 or $200, please give. Please don’t sit this one out. 100% participation would be a great reminder that our East Side Community sticks together. Thank you in advance for your contribution.
Here are ways you can make a donation:
Thank you again!
