10th gr. Global History/ Facing History and Ourselves: Political Decisions

Research Question:

To what degree were the political decisions made by ordinary Germans responsible for the Holocaust?

Germans voted for Adolf Hitler and supported the Nazi Party and their policies once in power. You will examine conformity and consent of  ordinary German citizens. You will consider how their political choices--and conformity and consent--  led to/ contributed to events of the Holocaust. Why did they follow the Nazis? What did they know about what was going on during the Holocaust?
